You will be surprised to know that many successful traders take the summer off.  It is the best time of the year to travel, enjoy outdoor activities, and spend time with family.  My purpose of taking the summer off is to enjoy all activities and get in as much sun as possible with my girls. New England appears to have 4 season, but it really feels like 3-  Winter, Spring, Summer and then winter again. (can you tell I dislike the cold.)

Also note that around this time, the market in terms of stock activity can be a bit lack luster in comparison to other times.  My cousin who use to trade for a prop firm, said that the office was empty through June -Aug.  The Successful traders would return once Earning Season was in. Not to mention, that the majority of their money was already made.  I share the exact same sentiment, for the first half of the year was absolutely amazing.

I still keep in tune with the markets. I have an obligation to my current students to continuously provide analysis and guide them through the strategy as they embark (eventually) on a path of their own.

I am still here, just managing my retirement accounts and Enjoying life, all while mentoring.
